General Settings Configuration

General Settings Explained
The General settings page is where you configure the foundational aspects of your Headless WordPress site. Let's break down each section in detail.
Site Name
This is the name that appears in browser tabs, search results, and throughout your site. In the example, it's set to 'iSpAnYoL'. This should be your brand or website name.
Why it matters: Search engines use this in their listings, and it's what people see when they bookmark your site.
Logo Upload
Your logo is the visual identity of your brand. You can:
- Click 'Dosya Seç' (Choose File) to upload an image from your computer
- Or enter a logo URL if it's already hosted somewhere
Recommended specs: PNG format with transparent background, at least 200px wide, file size under 100KB for fast loading.
Cache Management
What is cache? Think of cache as a 'memory' that stores already-prepared versions of your pages. This makes your site load incredibly fast because it doesn't have to rebuild pages from scratch every time.
Clear Application Cache: Sometimes when you make changes and they don't appear, cached (old) versions might be showing. Clicking 'Clear Cache' forces the system to rebuild everything fresh.
When to clear cache:
- After updating site design or theme
- When content changes aren't visible
- After plugin updates
- If you see outdated information
Analytics Integration
Google Analytics ID: This is a tracking code that starts with 'G-' (newer GA4) or 'UA-' (older Universal Analytics). It helps you understand:
- How many people visit your site
- Which pages they read
- Where visitors come from
- How long they stay
How to get your ID:
- Go to analytics.google.com
- Create an account if you don't have one
- Add your website
- Copy the 'Measurement ID' (looks like G-XXXXXXXXXX)
- Paste it here
Privacy note: Analytics tracks visitor behavior. Make sure your privacy policy mentions this.
