Post Display & Social Media Configuration

Post Settings Explained

These settings control how your blog posts appear and what additional features they have.

Enable Related Posts

What are related posts? At the bottom of each article, the system automatically shows links to other similar content on your site.

Why enable this?

  • Keeps visitors on your site longer
  • Helps them discover more content
  • Increases page views
  • Reduces bounce rate (people leaving immediately)

How it works: The system uses categories, tags, and content similarity to find relevant posts.

Section Title: The heading above related posts (e.g., 'You Might Also Like', 'Continue Reading', 'Related Posts')

Post Count: How many related posts to show. Options typically:

  • 3 Posts (Grid) - Clean, doesn't overwhelm
  • 6 Posts (Grid) - More options but can feel crowded
  • 4 Posts (Carousel) - Scrollable slider

Recommendation: Start with 3-4 posts. Monitor analytics to see if people click them.

Social Media Links

Purpose: Add social media icons to your site that link to your profiles.

Where they appear: Usually in your footer or header, depending on theme.

How to add:

  1. Select platform from dropdown (Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
  2. Enter your full profile URL (e.g., https://twitter.com/yourhandle)
  3. Click the X to remove if needed
  4. Click '+ Add Social Link' to add more platforms

Best practices:

  • Only add platforms you actively use - empty profiles look unprofessional
  • Order them by importance/activity level
  • Update profiles regularly to keep followers engaged
  • Use consistent branding across all platforms

Common platforms to include:

  • Twitter/X - For quick updates and industry news
  • Facebook - For community building and events
  • Instagram - For visual content and behind-the-scenes
  • LinkedIn - For B2B and professional networking
  • YouTube - For video content
  • Pinterest - For visual inspiration (great for food, fashion, DIY)

Social Media Strategy Tips

Cross-promotion: Share your blog posts on these platforms to drive traffic back to your site.

Engagement: Respond to comments and messages - social media is a two-way conversation!

Consistency: Post regularly to stay visible in followers' feeds.

Analytics: Each platform has built-in analytics. Review them monthly to see what content performs best.
